MAHA VIHARA DUTA MAITREYA BUDDHIST TEMPLE is the largest Buddhist Temple in South East Asia.  This Temple is the pride of Batam and is located near Batam Centre.  This Temple was built in 1991 by a group of successful businessmen who embraced Buddhism.  The main worship Hall can accommodate up to 2000 people.
